In addition to the national holidays listed above (for which the agency is closed) CCFC respects and honors holidays that are significant to the cultural heritage for families and staff by providing for excused absences so children can be with their families for celebration and observance. These days are often low enrollment days and provide us an opportunity to provide our staff with holiday time off with their families as well. You may arrange for an excused absence for your child when there is a holiday relevant to your family. Usually the teacher will have a sign-up sheet. Special days may include, but are not limited to Lunar New Year, Caesar Chavez Birthday, Good Friday and Juneteenth.
Two days during the year may be designated for all staff training days and the centers will be closed. Parents will be provided advance notice of no less than two weeks. The staff training days are not covered as part of your tuition payment or contracted days of service with our agency.
